SBTDC to Present Federal Funding Workshop
JONESBORO — Entrepreneurs and researchers are encouraged to attend the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center’s (SBTDC) free interactive “Intro to Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Federal Funding Programs” workshop, Monday, April 11, from 2-4 p.m.
The workshop, which includes a 30-minute, question-and-answer session, is at the Delta Center for Economic Development, 319 University Loop Circle, on the Arkansas State University campus.
The Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer program provides $2.5 billion in federal funding each year for innovative research and development work that moves research from the feasibility stage to commercial-ready products and services. Eleven federal agencies participate in the SBIR program. In this workshop, participants will learn about the basic requirements for program participation, how to get started with the SBIR/STTR program and tips for success.
This workshop will also help to prepare attendees to learn to secure federal dollars for research and development projects, and for one-on-one meetings with SBIR/STTR agency representatives during the Arkansas SBIR Road Tour at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Tuesday, April 19. Arkansas SBIR road-tour details and registration can be found at http://asbtdc.org/sbir-road-tour/.
Seating is limited and pre-registration for the workshop is required. To register, call (870) 972-3517 or visit http://asbtdc.org/training/jonesboro-events to register online.
