Bingaman is one of 125 students across the United States to receive this honor. She recently returned from her study abroad program to Belgium and the Netherlands with the Honors College.
“I’m so thankful to have received this award from Phi Kappa Phi. This scholarship is a huge reason that I was able to study abroad in Belgium and the Netherlands. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to travel and learn about other areas of the world and their cultures,” said Bingaman.
The Bryant native is president of Baptist Collegiate Ministry, a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and a member of the Honors College.
After graduation, she plans to teach mathematics at the middle-school level.
Established in 2001, the Study Abroad Grant Program is part of Phi Kappa Phi’s award and grant programs.
The selection process for this grant is based on academic achievement, campus and community service, relation to travel to academic preparation and career goals, a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and acceptance into a study abroad program.
