Student Affairs Vice Chancellor to Address State Meeting
JONESBORO – Dr. Rick Stripling, vice chancellor for Student Affairs at Arkansas State University, will be a panelist Friday, Feb. 28, at the 4th annual African American Male Initiative Consortium Conference in Little Rock.
Stripling, a member of the A-State staff since 1979, will be a panelist with his counterparts at other institutions to discuss “The Responsibility of Cabinet Level Leadership in Retaining and Graduating African American Males in Higher Education.” He will highlight the A-State Student Affairs Division’s initiatives.
The conference has attracted a number of notable speakers this year, including Dr. Terrell Strayhorn, associate professor of higher education and director of the Center for Inclusion, Diversity and Academic Success (IDEAS) at Ohio State University.
The Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Pulaski Technical College are conference sponsors.
