Sympathy to the Family of Dr. John Muir

JONESBORO -- The university community extends sympathy to the family, friends and former colleagues of Dr. John Muir, who died June 30.
Muir, who lived at Cherokee Village, taught courses in agronomy in the College of Agriculture. He joined the Arkansas State University faculty in 1985 and retired in 2005, at which time he was named emeritus professor of agronomy.
A native of North Dakota, he is survived by his wife, Dory; a son, and his family, of Knoxville; and a brother and two sisters and their families.
Private burial will be in Inkster, N.D. The obituary is available online.
