Theatre Announces Cast and Crew for 'All in the Timing'

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University Theatre will present "All in the Timing," by David Ives, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29-30, and Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 2-4.

The production is under the direction of Tim Bohn, department chair and associate professor of theatre, and associate direction of Brianna Lucas Larson, dance instructor of theatre.  It will begin at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the Simpson Theatre at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr. 

A dessert reception to meet the company will follow the opening night performance on Sept. 29.

This critically acclaimed, award-winning evening of comedies combines wit, intellect, satire and just plain fun.

The cast includes Josh Pryor, a freshman theatre major from Clinton, as Bill; Courtney Light, a junior theatre minor from Alicia, as Betty; Abbey Cooper, a freshman theatre major from Russellville, as Swift; Hayley Scott, a sophomore theatre major from North Little Rock, as Kafka; Davis Campbell, a junior theatre major from Batesville, as Milton; and Claire Thomas, a freshman theatre major from Batesville, as Dawn.

Others in the cast are Carson Horton, a freshman English major from Batesville, as Don; Sam Scott, a freshman theatre major from Flint, Mich., as young man and Ramón; Amy Faughn, a sophomore theatre major from Jonesboro, as woman #1; Kennedy Woodall, a freshman undeclared major from Manila, as woman #2; Zachary Blake, a junior theatre major from Jonesboro, as Philip Glass; Caelon Colbert, a freshman theatre and computer science major from Little Rock, as Baker.

Additional cast members are Carson Ecker, a junior theatre major from Bryant, as Al; Tristan Bennett, a freshman theatre major from Carlisle, as waitress; Bryce Moore, a sophomore theatre major from White Hall, as Mark; Davis James, a senior theatre major from Searcy, as Trotsky; and Peyton Miller, a sophomore theatre major from Paragould, as Mrs. Trotsky.

Scenic designer and technical director will be Jeff McLaughlin, assistant professor of theatre. Lighting and sound designer will be Caisa Sanburg, assistant professor of theatre. Griffen Birdsong, a freshman theatre major from Searcy, will serve as assistant lighting designer and light board operator.  Sound board operator will be Devin Jones, a freshman theatre major from Jonesboro. 

Eli Webb, a junior theatre major from Jonesboro, will serve as master electrician. Properties masters will be Syrena Crotts, a freshman theatre major from North Little Rock, and Hannah Martin, a senior theatre major from Blytheville. Lauren Wilcox, a junior theatre major from Jonesboro, will be assisting with publicity.

Claire Abernathy, assistant professor of theatre, Irene Taylor, a senior theatre major from Birdtown, and Justin Almager, a senior theatre major from El Dorado, will serve as costume designers.  Claire Abernathy, assistant professor of theatre, will serve as costume shop manager.

Hannah Cummins, a senior theatre major from Batesville, Reilly Heffer, a freshman theatre major from Little Rock, Kassidy Ratz, a junior theatre minor from Beebe, and Leah Brown, a senior theatre major from Cherokee Village, will serve as wardrobe and makeup crew.

Composer and arranger will be Dr. Timothy Crist, professor of music. Assistant directors will be Jackson Wu, a senior theatre major from Taipei, Taiwan, David Norris, a senior theatre major from Desha, and Emma Watkins, a junior theatre major from Jonesboro. 

Madison Sharp, a freshman theatre major from Jonesboro, Laura Martin, a post degree theatre major from Blytheville, and Dejah Harris a freshman theatre and animal science major from Pine Bluff, will serve as assistant stage managers.  Stage management duties for the production have been assigned to Alyssa Burleson, a senior theatre major from North Little Rock.

Tickets may be purchased for reserved seating in advance at the Central Box Office in the Convocation Center or by calling 972-ASU1.  Tickets are also available online at tickets.astate.edu.  Reserved seating tickets (if available) may be purchased at the door on the evening of the performance.  Ticket prices are $10 ($8 in advance).

Advanced reservations are highly recommended.  This production may not be suitable for all audiences.
