Three Inducted during 28th Annual Military Science Hall of Heroes Ceremony
JONESBORO – The three new inductees to the Department of Military Science Hall of Heroes at Arkansas State University were joined by Army and university representatives Saturday for a photograph after the ceremony.
From left are A-State Chancellor Todd Shields, Brig. Gen. Steven M. King, deputy commander, U.S. Army Cadet Command; former Capt. (Promotable) Albert (Al) G. Martin of Austin, Texas; retired Col. Robert A. Barker of Harrisburg; retired Lt. Col. Jerry W. Cheatom of San Antonio, Texas; and Lt. Col. Morgan Weatherly, A-State professor of military science.
Martin, Barker and Cheatom were also recognized as new members of Hall of Heroes during halftime of the Red Wolves football game. Their placards were hung in the Hall of Heroes, located in the Lt. Col. Frederick C. Turner Jr. Military Science Building. More details about the honorees are available online.
