Transfer Preview Day Friday Provides Special Opportunities
JONESBORO – Students planning to transfer to Arkansas State University from a community college have a special opportunity Friday to help prepare for the transition.
Transfer Preview Day offers prospective students an opportunity twice each year to get more familiar with the academic opportunities and campus life at Arkansas State.
The day begins with student check-in at 9 a.m. in the Red WOLF Center, followed by welcome and overview at 10:15 in the auditorium of the Reng Student Union.
Academic sessions follow at 11 and 11:30, during which time transferring students can visit with faculty and become more familiar with the array of A-State degree programs available. Representatives from various departments and programs will be stationed throughout the third floor meeting areas of the Student Union to meet with prospective students.
Information on student services, such as financial aid, residence life and career services, also will be available during the day. Participating students can pick up a ticket for lunch in the Acansa Dining Hall during the morning check-in.
Transfer students who are admitted for the spring semester can register for classes in the afternoon, starting at 1:30 p.m. Campus tours will be available as well.
For more details about Transfer Preview Day, prospective students may call the Wilson Center for Academic Advising and Learning Assistance, (870) 972-3001.
