My name is Morgan Adams, I'm from Cherry Valley, but grew up in Jonesboro for most of my life. I've worked at A-State for 5 years. My current role is the University Marketing and Communications Office Manager. Prior to my current position, I've served numerous roles on campus for various departments including Human Resources and the Dean's office for Education and Behavioral Science. Given my experience working on campus, it is an honor to be nominated for Staff Senate! As someone who always strives to better the University, Staff Senate sounds like the perfect opportunity to use my voice in an impactful way.
Molly Alexander-Steele EEO 30
I am the Executive Director for Research Development in the Research and Technology Transfer office. In this position, I oversee proposal submissions, contracts and agreements, student research, and office operations. I also currently serve as secretary for the Computers and Technology committee. In this position, I set the meeting schedule with committee members and work with the chair to set the agenda. I also take minutes and send them out at the conclusion of each meeting. I am an A-State alum, earning my master's degree in 2017, and would be honored to serve as a staff senator.

My name is Rachel Anderson and I am the Director of Social Media at A-State. I work with other University Marketing and Communications creatives on innovative branding and messaging strategies for the University, and work with folks all across campus on enhancing the social media presence of their department or organization. I graduated from Nettleton High School and A-State with a degree in Communication Studies. Passionate about experimenting with what works (and what doesn’t), I am committed to crafting messages that are clear, engaging, and effortless for everyone. Outside of daydreaming ideas for A-State’s next viral video or meme, I enjoy time spent with my husband and daughter.

Jermain Archield is an accomplished professional specializing in employee engagement in the human resource department. Born and raised in Wynne, Arkansas, Jermain developed a strong sense of community and a passion for helping others from a young age. He pursued his education at Arkansas State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree and Master's in Business Administration at GCU.
Currently serving as an Employee Engagement Specialist at Arkansas State University, Jermain dedicated to fostering a positive and productive work environment. His role involves Training and development, engaging, enhancing employee satisfaction, motivation, and overall workplace culture and etc.. She received both her bachelors degrees from Arkansas State University, where she also graduated with her MA in History with a global emphasis. Outside of work, she has a passion for all things French, dystopian media, dark academia, and is deeply invested in environmental activism.

Paden DeVita (he/him/his) is a photographer (M.F.A., University of Florida) specializing in digital collage to highlight action and experience rather than hiding labor within assemblage. Previously an Associate Lecturer for University of Wisconsin Green Bay, University of Florida, and Daytona State College, he now serves as Education Coordinator for the Bradbury Art Museum located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Programming efforts include weekly after school art-making with El Centro Hispano’s ‘La Escuelita’ focusing on material exploration, monthly workshops reflecting current exhibitions at BAM, and participation in annual festivals to share free resources and art materials within connected communities.

As the Director of the Early College Programs Department, I am deeply invested in the success and well-being of our university and city-wide community. She started at Arkansas State University July 2023 as an Academic Advisor for the University Advising Center.

My name is Brandi Gibson and I work as a Project Specialist at ABI managing our vivarium. I am an alumna of A-State and graduated in 2015 with my Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology and Management. I've always worked with animals in some capacity and my role at ABI is very much centered around husbandry and animal health. My dream job was always to be a veterinarian, so I am very excited about the up-and-coming vet school at A-State! In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, writing, and spending as much time as possible with my dogs!

Since 2011, I’ve served as Arkansas Biosciences Institute (ABI) at A-State Outreach Coordinator. During this time, I have worked with many A-State colleges and personnel to provide external engagements and implement research outputs within the Mid-South region. Largely, my focus has been transforming new research ideas into fun, exciting, and meaningful programs for K-12 students and undergraduate students. Currently, I manage the ABI Outreach Program and College of Engineering and Computer Science outreach programs. Fall 2025 will be my 23rd consecutive year on A-State’s campus. During this time, I have attended as an undergraduate, graduate, and professional staff member, therefore, I would like to give back my time to the community that’s given so much.

My name is Tracy Holst. I have worked in the Financial Aid Department since July of 2023. I am married to my wonderful husband, who is also named Tracy. I have two sons, which one graduated last year from A-State and currently works at A-State and my youngest son is a Freshman at A-State. Prior to working at A-State, I retired from the Federal Government after 25 years of service.
I believe it's important for staff to be engaged and working in a stress-free environment in order to be productive and have fun. It's healthy for staff to enjoy work while getting the job done. I love engaging with staff and being a mentor to those in need looking for someone to talk to or engage with.

Erica Jennings is a third-generation Spanish and Mexican American. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas, in 1991. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in World Languages and Cultures with an emphasis in Spanish and a minor in International Studies at Arkansas State University. I am the Fiscal Support Supervisor for the College of Education and Behavioral Science. I have been with Astate for almost 2 1/2 year now and have enjoyed every minute of it. I hold a bachelor's in finance from Astate and I am currently working on a bachelor's in accounting and will graduate in May of 2026. I am interested in the well-being of staff/faculty relations and I would work diligently to make sure the voices of staff members are included in matters of shared governance.

My name is Leah Lewert-Taylor and I have the privilege of serving as the Associate Director for International Programs. I have been working in International Programs for a decade and enjoy assisting international students and educating the greater campus community about the benefits of international education. I hold a MS in College Student Personnel Services and a BA in English, both obtained at A-State. Outside of work, I am married to a fellow staff member, Mark Taylor, who works for A-State Athletics and we have two young sons, Wesley and Isaac. I'm a Jonesboro native, a graduate of Jonesboro High School. I did my undergraduate work at Lyon College in Batesville and completed my PhD in American Literature at the University of Kansas. I began work at A-State in 2012 as the director of the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum in Piggott. In 2019, I moved back to the Jonesboro campus and am currently the executive director of the Heritage Sites program.

I began my time at Arkansas State as a student and completed my Bachelor of Science in Accounting as well as my Masters of Education in Business Technology while working on campus. Madeline McMahan is an artist, curator, and mother. Madeline received her BFA in Studio Art from Arkansas State University in 2019 and her MFA from the University of Mississippi in 2022. Madeline serves as assistant director and curator at Bradbury Art Museum on campus at Arkansas State University, where her curatorial philosophy centers around education and community. In spring 2025, she was invited to be an Artist Leadership Fellow with the Mid-America Arts Alliance in preparation for service as a peer facilitator with M-AAA, the Regional Arts Organization that serves the state of Arkansas.

Hello, I have worked at ASU for about 30 years. I started working in Facilities in the 1990's where I painted and did carpentry work, then I moved to English, Philosophy, and World Languages, where I stayed for about 15 or more years. These days, I work for Fowler Center and the Theatre Department. I am proud to be the Events Coordinator for Fowler and the Admin Assistant for Theatre. I have been here for a little over two years now. I have subbed several times for the Staff Senate, but I don't believe I have had the opportunity to serve until now.

Hello, my name is Montana Nelson. I work as the admin analyst for the Dean of CNHP. I have been working at ASU for about 5 years and it's a family affair for me! Both my parents work in Admissions in IES and my sister & brother both graduated from ASU. I am a single mother to a 3yo baby girl Gianna, (who is the only baby, grandbaby & great grandbaby in the family) and we have a cat named Leia (yes, it's exactly who you think she's named after lol). I enjoy working at ASU because of the friendships and mentors it brought along the way. I take pride in making sure whoever i come across is uplifted, laughing and cared for while in my circle. I enjoy fighting the fight to make sure we all are accepted and being given what we deserve. I have an associate's degree in applied science with an emphasis in HVAC and currently am working on a bachelor's degree in construction management. I am happily married and have two adult children.
