We have a great collection of business wear for our students who need clothing for career events and functions. We are committed to ensuring that students are not at a disadvantage if they do not own professional attire or are not able to purchase anything before their scheduled event.

Below you can find information on how to access clothing from the Career Closet.

Process for Accessing Clothing

Once an item is selected from the available catalog by a student the following message is displayed with these options: 

Items from the A-State College of Business Career Closet are primarily gentle used clothing donated by individuals or businesses.  If you wish to borrow or in some cases permanently take an item from the Career Closet the following criteria must be met.

To qualify to borrow clothing from the Closet students must satisfy criteria #1, #2 and one from #3.

1. Student has had his/her résumé vetted and approved by A-Sate Career Services
2. Students activate their Handshake account and upload their résumé.
3. Student has attended at least one Career Services workshops which may include any one of the following bulleted options within the semester that items are requested:

• Interviewing Workshop
• Resume Workshop
• Job Search Workshop
• Employer presentation
• Career Services Job Fair

Once items are selected and upon verification of the selected options with Career Services, students will be informed within 48 hours through email on pick up options. Please note that due to heavy demand request at certain times, you may receive an email notification later than the 48 hour period.

The Career Closet is here to assist our students to get a head start on their careers. We rely on the kind and generous donations to our Closet to support our students. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the growth of the College of Business Career Closet. Cash and clothing donations are both gladly accepted. Businesses are also welcome to participate as sponsors of our Career Closet program. This would give you the opportunity to be visible to our students and the community. By being a sponsor, you are involved in building the next generation of business leaders.

We ask that donated clothing should be in good condition and are no more than five years old. We accept items such as suits, shirts, blouses, dresses, pants, ties, skirts, belts and shoes. Donated clothing that does not meet the business professional criteria will be donated to Goodwill of Arkansas.
