Biography
Terry Dancer has taught at Arkansas State for 38 years. He was born and raised in Arkansas graduating from star city high school in 1968. He graduated from Henderson State University in 1972 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and his officers Commission thru ROTC. Upon graduation, he served three years on active duty with the United States Army in the First Calvary Division at Fort Hood. He completed 8 years active reserve in the United States Army. Following Active Duty he completed an MBA from Henderson and worked as a Cost accountant for River Marine Corporation. He completed his PH. D. in Accountancy from the School of Accountancy at The University of Mississippi in 1988. During his years in Academia, he has published in excess of 100 journal articles and other intellectual contributions. He is married with two children and five grandchildren. His interests include family, church, softball, racquet ball, hunting, and fishing. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar and singing some lead with a gospel band.
