Biography

Dr. Roy Lee Aldridge Jr., 50, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House. Roy was born April 7, 1968. in Park Ridge, Ill. He graduated from Smyrna High School in Tennessee in 1986.

Roy obtained a bachelor of science in physical ther­apy (1990) and a master of science in physical therapy (2001) from the Universi­ty of Tennessee, Memphis. He obtained a specialist in community college teach­ing (2004) and a doctor of education (2008) from Arkansas State University.

Roy worked at the Northeast Arkansas Re­habilitation Hospital in Jonesboro from 1990-2000. In 2000, Dr. Al­dridge began his teaching career at Arkansas State University College of Nursing and Health Pro­fessions, Physical Therapy Department.

Roy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Stacy Lea Lamb Aldridge, and three daughters, Katie Caro­line, Hannah Belle and Leah Mae. His parents, Roy Lee Aldridge Sr. and Florence Ann Wegner Al­dridge of Eddyville, Ky.; a sister, Lee Anne Ro­chelle (Mike) of Nash­ville, Tenn.; and brother, Samuel Albert Aldridge (Michelle) of Seven Val­leys, Pa.

Roy was a founding member of Valley Ridge Baptist Church in Jones­boro.
