Biography

Dr. Pan is the recipient of the Janice Hocker Rushing Early Career Research Award from SSCA in 2014 and (co)author of two dozen refereed journal articles and book chapters. He has also presented thirty research papers at top-tier academic conferences and received top faculty and student research papers from AEJMC and ICA. Recently, his research has been collected in the Journalist’s Resource of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy in the Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to his graduate studies in the United States, Dr. Pan practiced media and communication in Taiwan for a few years, including China Times Express and Taiwan Military Service.
