Biography
Matthew Robins received his Bachelors (2010) and Masters degree (2015) from Arkansas State University. In 2015, he completed his interpersonal communication thesis entitled, “Smartphones and Interpersonal Relationships: An Exploratory and Descriptive Examination of How Texting Plays a Role in Face-to-Face Communication." After graduation, Matthew served as an adjunct professor for the Department of Communication and became a faculty member in 2018. In 2019, Matthew accepted the role as The Director of The Communication Center and oversaw the center’s move to the 3rd floor of the library into The Academic Hub. During his time at A-State, Matthew has been a member of several committees, including serving as Chair of the Dennis White Speech Competition beginning in Fall 2022 and has been an honoree for his work with Access & Accommodations as well as receiving Honors Professor of the Year in 2022.
