Biography
Mr. Mielke has 30 years of experience in K-12 Education encompassing a variety of classroom assignments. Mr. Mielke has taught English at both the Junior and Senior High School Level and was an Alternative learning instructor with Adult Education/ESL certification. He has also taught Music as a Band Director, Choir Director, and General Music Teacher K-8. After leaving the classroom, Mr. Mielke served as an Elementary Principal and retired as a district Superintendent. Mr. Mielke has been an Adjunct Instructor with the Arkansas State University System since 1997 (3 semesters off while completing Doctoral course work). Mr. Mielke was selected the Honors College “Professor of the Year” in May of 2019. Mr. Mielke is a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon (Social Fraternity) and Phi Mu Alpha (Music Fraternity).
Mr. Mielke has performed with a variety of Symphony Orchestras including, but not limited to, the following Orchestras: Port Huron, MI. / Sarnia, Ont. International Symphony Orchestra, Grosse Pointe Symphony Orchestra, Saint Clair Shores Symphony Orchestra, and the Tupelo Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Mielke has opened shows for several Country Music Icons including, but not limited to the following: Razzey Bailey, John Anderson, Mickey Gilley, Mark Allen Springer (former CMA songwriter of the year), Reba McIntire, and Willie Nelson. After having multiple medical procedures on his hands, Mr. Mielke officially retired from performing in public.
