Biography
Dr. Brinda LeGrand is a healthcare professional who has a passion for life and people. She began her career in healthcare as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1986 and completed ASN, BSN, MSN Ed., and PhD degrees. She has worked clinically in obstetrics, medical surgical, pediatrics, intensive care, cardiac care, home health, surgery, and industrial nursing. She has 13+ years’ experience in acute care administration, 23+ years in education and is a licensed Assisted Living Facility Administrator. She has taught abroad in England, France, Scotland, and Ireland. Currently Dr. LeGrand is a tenured Associate Professor of Nursing at Arkansas State University. She is a board member for the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas, Mission Outreach of Northeast Arkansas, Inc., Success Credit Union, and Options on Main. Additionally, she serves as Vice President for the Arkansas Nurses Foundation and is a past president and Member of the Year of Greene County Business and Professional Women. She is a volunteer and regular contributor to Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Foundation. Dr. LeGrand teaches in the traditional and accelerated BSN program.
