Biography

Dr. Sara Damron is an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner who graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from UTHSC in Memphis. She obtained her BSN in nursing from Arkansas State University. Clinically, she has worked as a hospitalist in rural Arkansas and as an Intensivist in a large academic center.  Dr. Damron is a state and national conference speaker. She is also the treasurer of the Arkansas Nurse Practitioner Association and serves on the education and conference committees. In December of 2022, Dr. Damron was granted Full Practice Authority by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing; amongst the first 60 NPs in Arkansas to be able to practice without a collaborative physician.  Dr. Damron is an assistant professor of nursing and currently serves as the adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner option coordinator for ASU College of Nursing.
