Biography

I have worked as RN for over 20 years in many different roles including, bedside nursing (med-surg and critical care), nursing supervisor, nurse manager, nursing informatics, and nurse educator, in the hospital and at a college/university setting. I enjoy teaching and learning new skills to better prepare nurses for their future as healthcare providers. I began my nurse educator journey in 2005 as an instructor for a community college in an Associate Degree of Nursing program. I earned a Masters in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in 2009. I joined the A-State faculty in 2018 and taught in the BSN and AASN programs. I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice at A-State in 2024.
